This LS informs about the approval of the first ITU-T SG13 document about autonomous networks, “Use cases for autonomous networks”. ITU-T Study Group 13 would like to inform you about the approval of a new ITU-T Supplement on use cases for autonomous networks (AN) (see attachment), which has been progressed within Question 20/13 ("Networks beyond IMT-2020 and machine learning: Requirements and architecture"). This document derives from the first deliverable of the Focus Group on Autonomous Networks (FG-AN) established under ITU-T SG13 in December 2020. It includes numerous use cases brought in by experts who have participated in the activities of the FG-AN. SG13 would like to appreciate the experts for their contributions. SG13 believes that this document will help further analysis during later stages of standardization regarding AN-related issues, including, but not limited to, architecture, Proof of Concept, trust in AN, IoT and multimedia services implementation over AN. SG13 looks forward to keeping continued collaboration and exchange with you in the field of AN. For your information, SG13 will hold its next co-located Rapporteurs’ group meetings on 14-25 November 2022 - meeting time and venue are available at SG13 - Future networks and emerging network technologies (itu.int).
