ITU-T SG15 wishes to inform the IETF MPLS WG of our intent to initiate the
approval process for the following documents related to MPLS-TP at the October
2018 plenary meeting of Study Group 15:

1. Amendment 3 to Recommendation ITU-T G.8131/Y.1382 Linear protection
switching for MPLS transport profile. 2. Revision of Recommendation ITU-T
G.8121/Y.1381 Characteristics of MPLS-TP equipment functional blocks 3.
Revision of Recommendation ITU-T G.8121.1/Y.1381.1 Characteristics of MPLS-TP
equipment functional blocks supporting ITU-T G.8113.1/Y.1372.1 OAM mechanisms
4. Revision of Recommendation ITU-T G.8121.2/Y.1381.2 Characteristics of
MPLS-TP equipment functional blocks supporting ITU-T G.8113.2/Y.1372.2 OAM
mechanisms 5. Revision of Recommendation ITU-T G.8151/Y.1374 Management aspects
of the MPLS-TP network element 6. Revision of Recommendation ITU-T
G.8152/Y.1375 Protocol-neutral management information model for the MPLS-TP
network element.

The current drafts of all the documents referenced above are attached. We would
appreciate any comments you may have on these documents.

The next meeting of ITU-T SG15 Questions 9 and 10 is in Geneva, Switzerland,
8-19 October 2018. The next meetings of ITU-T SG15 Question 14 are in Nanjing,
China, 14-18 May 2018; in Stockholm, Sweden, 6-10 August 2018; and in Geneva,
Switzerland, 8-19 October 2018.
