As of IETF 102:
ACME met Tuesday afternoon. It was a very productive meeting. This status also serves as a reminder that we need 90 minutes next time. :) Or the chair(s) need to be more ruthless about enforcing the unreasonable time limits.
The agenda was augmented by two last-minute presentations, from the ANRW/hotRFC and SECDISPATCH. The first was on scope and some mitigation for IP address use-after-free, and the second was on using ACME for STAR. Both had good discussion, and are likely to be taken up by the WG soon. So this is a point in favor of those forums.
In other work, the WG accepted a PR that addresses the last AD comments, and is redoing WGLC in parallel with IESG review. The ALPN and IP documents will be moved to WGLC. The email docs need another draft and then hopefully move to WGLC. Everyone should read the Authority Token documents.

As of IETF-97:
ACME met Wednesday. Since the last IETF we resolved almost all issues on our main document, and at the meeting we agreed on proposed resolution for all others. When the new draft is issued, we’ll enter WGLC and promote this as an “implementor’s draft,” like HTTP-bis did. We’ll consider it frozen until next IETF, and either re-enter last call or forward up for IESG review at the next IETF.
We had also adopted a CAA draft, had an initial presentation from Yaron on short-lived certs, and a heads-up on STIR interest on using ACME to get certs for phones. So between now and the next IETF we’ll also have discussion about re-chartering to add these new work items.

At IETF 96 we reviewed progress in the latest draft. We will be "adding back" the older flow in addition to the more complicated/general flow (variously termed preconditions or application) added in the latest draft. We are planning on being in last call before IETF 97.
We are actively soliciting drafts to consider for adoption and/or recharting for discussion in the early fall.

At IETF 95, the group reviewed the issues closed in the creation of -02, then reviewed the open issues in draft-ietf-acme-acme. Three were explicitly deferred ((#4 #88 #89), and the group agreed to implement pull requests for others (#112, #113, and #114). Phillip Hallam-Baker proposed a syntactic shift for the current draft, which he will propose as a pull request by April 19th.
The group is hoping to complete version 1 and have a last call prior to IETF 96.
