Body
1 Overview

The OMA SIMPLE Presence 1.0 enabler has dependencies on IETF drafts
draft-ietf-simple-partial-publish and draft-ietf-simple-partial-notify. Since
both of these drafts normatively reference
draft-urpalainen-simple-xml-patch-ops-01, the OMA SIMPLE Presence 1.0 enabler
is also implicitly dependent on this draft.

The OMA PAG Working Group is scheduled to approve the OMA SIMPLE Presence 1.0
enabler by end of this year. Because of this tight schedule, the OMA PAG WG is
seeking your guidance about the expected progress on this draft.

The OMA PAG WG kindly requests the IETF SIMPLE WG to provide feedback about the
status of open issues on XML Patch Operations and the expectation on their
resolutions. The response from IETF SIMPLE WG could be a key decision factor on
PAG WG’s future decision on how to proceed with Partial Publication and
Partial Notification procedures in OMA SIMPLE Presence 1.0 enabler.

2 Requested Action(s)

• The OMA PAG WG kindly requests the IETF SIMPLE WG to provide feedback
about the status of open issues on XML Patch Operations and the expectation on
their resolutions.

The OMA PAG WG would like to thank the IETF SIMPLE WG for their consideration
and response to this request and we look forward to future opportunities to
work together.

Kind regards,
The OMA PAG WG
