Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) E. Jankiewicz Request for Comments: 6434 SRI International, Inc. Obsoletes: 4294 J. Loughney Category: Informational Nokia ISSN: 2070-1721 T. Narten IBM Corporation December 2011 IPv6 Node Requirements Abstract This document defines requirements for IPv6 nodes. It is expected that IPv6 will be deployed in a wide range of devices and situations. Specifying the requirements for IPv6 nodes allows IPv6 to function well and interoperate in a large number of situations and deployments. This document obsoletes RFC 4294. Status of This Memo This document is not an Internet Standards Track specification; it is published for informational purposes. This document is a product of the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). It represents the consensus of the IETF community.
