BCP discussions (Jerome, Amelia, Michael) -- 40 min
draft-henry-madinas-bcp-network-rcm-00
draft-richardson-madinas-bcp-00
Jerome Henry (JH) presents slides about
draft-henry-madinas-bcp-network-rcm-00.
Proposal is to join Michael's document.
Michaek Richardson (MR) presents.
Amelia: do we want to include in the BCP that defy users' preferences?
Yiu: How do we define requirements that map use-cases to trust-levels
required for different levels of tracking?
JC, Yiu, Michael: We are talking about high level requirements, like
"use OUI when doing Tech Support," not requirements in the strict term
like MUST from an IETF RFC. These requirements can be derived from the
use cases.
Mark: When we say that the user is being tracked, are they being tracked
in a way that their specific identity is known (that user is doing that
thing) or are they abstractly tracked in the sense of (some user is
doing some thing)?
- IEEE status update (Mark) -- 10 mins
Mark presents an update on RCM work at 802.11 (TGbh primarily) as an
individual, not representing IEEE.
Mark says that drafts can be shared with MADINAS WG under some liaison
process.
- Next Steps (WG Chairs w/AD Support) -- 5 mins
Chairs from IETF and IEEE will work out logistics to make the latest
802.11bh available to MADINAS WG.
Feedback about ways to progress the BCP is requested on the mailinglist
