Only communications with distance parties need be consoliated by going through the higher layers of SPRs for delivery. For this type of SPRs, both their upstream DHCP client port and downstream DHCP Server pool will operate on sub-240/4 netblocks, segregated according to the numbering plan in the RAN system design. C.5.3. RG SPR: To serve existing IoTs on customer premises, this SPR will be configured to accept a 240/4 address on its upstream port, while the downstream port assigns addresses from the three conventional private netblocks to its DHCP client IoTs.
