Martin Vigoureux

Martin Vigoureux is a former Area Director for the Routing Area of the IETF (2018-2021). Previously, he chaired the L3VPN, BESS, and SPRING Working Groups, and had started as Secretary of the MPLS WG. He also served on the Routing Directorate for 7 years, and first attended IETF in 2001. Martin currently works at Nokia where he is Product Line Manager for certain IP technologies. He started as a researcher in Alcatel and took various positions in the course of 15 years of research. During these years he worked and lead work on a variety of topics such as distributed network control, automation, and network function virtualization. He is concerned about climate change thanks to his wife, distinguished member of the IPCC. Together they have a son and live in Paris, France.
