ITU-T Study Group 13 would like to inform you that Question 6 of SG13 has three
on-going work items and one published Recommendation related to deterministic
communication on the scope of local area networks and large-scale networks for
IMT-2020 network and beyond.

The information on the three on-going work items and the published
Recommendation are shown below. Their corresponding documents are attached.

Draft new Recommendation ITU-T Y.det-qos-reqts-lan “Framework and QoS
requirements for supporting deterministic communication services in local area
network for IMT-2020 ”

Draft new Recommendation ITU-T Y.IMT2020-jg-lsn “Requirements and framework for
jitter guarantee in large scale networks including IMT-2020 and beyond”

Draft new Recommendation ITU-T Y.IMT2020-fa-lg-lsn “Functional architecture for
latency guarantee in large scale networks including IMT-2020 and beyond”, which
is the sequel to the recently approved Recommendation Y.3113 “Requirements and
framework for latency guarantee in large scale networks including the IMT-2020
network”.

Y.det-qos-reqts-lan identifies the scenarios, framework, and QoS requirements
of deterministic communication services in local area network supporting
heterogeneous technologies.

Y.3113 and Y.IMT2020-fa-lg-lsn specify the framework with work-conserving
schedulers and interleaved regulators for flow aggregates, as such it can be
seen as a general framework encompassing IEEE TSN ATS and IETF IntServs.

Y.IMT2020-jg-lsn specifies the framework with packet time-stamping and buffers
at the network edge, for jitter bound guarantee without time-synchronization.

This information is for your consideration and we look forward to collaborating
with you in this area.
