Body
Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to inform you that at its 29 January-9 February 2018 plenary
meeting, ITU-T SG15 has initiated the final approval processes for:

 Corrigendum 1 to Recommendation ITU-T G.8013/Y.1731 (2015) “OAM functions and
mechanisms for Ethernet based networks” (under the responsibility of Q10/15);

 Revised Recommendation ITU-T G.8021/Y.1341 “Characteristics of Ethernet
transport network equipment functional blocks” (under the responsibility of
Q10/15); and

 New Recommendation ITU-T G.8023 “Characteristics of equipment functional
blocks supporting Ethernet physical layer and Flex Ethernet interfaces” (under
the responsibility of Q11/15).
o This new Recommendation specifies both the functional components and
the methodology that should be used in order to specify the Ethernet
         physical
layer interfaces (formerly specified in clauses 8 and 10 of
Recommendation ITU-T G.8021/Y.1341) and Flex Ethernet interfaces.

These documents are attached for your information. We would appreciate any
comments you may have on these documents.

ITU-T SG15 would like to express its appreciation for the continued useful
exchange of information on Ethernet standards and looks forward to further
interaction between our organizations. ITU-T Q10/15 meets next 8-19 October
2018 in Geneva, Switzerland. ITU-T Q11/15 meets next 4-8 June 2018 in Beijing,
