I reviewed the document "Entertainment Identifier Registry (EIDR) URN Namespace Definition" (draft-pal-eidr-urn-2016-01.txt) as part of the Operational directorate's ongoing effort to review all IETF documents being processed by the
IESG.  These comments were written primarily for the benefit of the operational area directors.  Document editors and WG chairs should treat these comments just like any other last call comments.

Intended status: Informational

Obsoletes: 7302 (if approved)

Current IESG state: In Last Call (ends 2016-07-01)

IANA OK - Actions Needed

Summary: The document obsoletes RFC7302, which is on Entertainment Identifier Registry (EIDR) Identifiers used for the globally unique identification of motion picture and television content. The document defines the formal Uniform
Resource Name (URN) Namespace Identifier (NID) for EIDR Identifiers. The changes compared to RFC7302 are described in Annex A.2.

I don’t see any issue from operations and management pov.

However, following nit should be addressed:

  -- Looks like a reference, but probably isn't: '1' on line 375

=> There is indeed no reference defined as [1].
