I predict that despite this well-meaning
update, the IESG will in future enjoy the
same process nit debates but instead of those
being about upper/lower case must, they'll be
about whether the boilerplate ought reference
2119 or BCP14. I'm happy I'll not be there
for those:-)

Abstract


  RFC 2119 specifies common key words that may be used in protocol
  specifications.  This document aims to reduce the ambiguity by
  clarifying that only UPPERCASE usage of the key words have the
  defined special meanings.
