[Ballot comment]

I had a quick read and it seems fine to me.

I had expected to see some mention of the difficulty of meaningfully naming
path elements or on-path routers - "Do you 'trust' a path using 2001:db8::bad,
2001:db8::dead and 2001:db8::f001 for openvpn.service?" not being soemthing
lending itself to being answered with a human or random machine endpoint in
the loop;-)

Similarly, I wondered why longer term state information didn't give rise
to any tricky questions - "Do you want to use the same path you used last
week when you were physically in the office (now that you're back stuck
doing WFH)?"

But maybe the RG considered those questions already covered by some of
those mentioned in the draft, which is ok.

1. Summary
The document shepherd is Spencer Dawkins. The IRTF Chair is Colin Perkins.

This document poses questions in path-aware networking that were considered
open as of 2019, that must be answered in the design,  development, and
deployment of path-aware internetworks.  It was written to frame discussions
in the Path Aware Networking proposed Research Group  (PANRG), and is being
published to snapshot thinking in this space.

2. Review and Consensus
This document was the first document adopted by PANRG, and was presented
and discussed at IETFs 100, 101, 102, 104, 105, 106, and at a pre-IETF 108 interim
meeting. In addition to comments made during meetings, detailed reviews were
performed by Mohamed Boucadair and Theresa Enghardt. The research group
does roughly agree that publication for this draft is appropriate.

The text has been stable for most of the life of the draft, with most changes in
response to detailed review comments, and the most recent revisions resulting
from an effort to add a common description of "path awareness" that could
be used by other PANRG drafts.

3. Intellectual Property
Each author has confirmed conformance with BCP 78/79. There are no IPR disclosures on the document.

4. Other Points
There are no normative references in this document. The document introduces no new security considerations.

There is one RFC 5743 nit - that document says

o  There must be a paragraph near the beginning (for example, in the
introduction) describing the level of support for publication.
Example text might read: "this document represents the consensus
of the FOOBAR RG" or "the views in this document were considered
controversial by the FOOBAR RG but the RG reached a consensus that
the document should still be published".

and I don't see one yet. Did I miss it?
