Ballot Text

Technical Summary

This document defines a "problem detail" to carry machine-readable details of errors in HTTP response content to avoid the need to define new error response formats for HTTP APIs.

Working Group Summary

There was nothing unusual in the WG process. Consensus appears solid, and the process they followed around a few issues is well described in the shepherd writeup.

Document Quality

As this is an update to RFC7807 there are already numerous implementations of
this media type with widesread adoption. This update does not make changes that
would invalidate existing implementations.

No particular reviews needed before proceeding are missing.

Personnel

Darrel Miller is the document shepherd.
Murray Kucherawy is the responsible Area Director.
