The IESG has no problem with the publication of 'Models for adaptive-streaming-aware CDN Interconnection' as an Informational RFC. The IESG has concluded that this work is related to IETF work done in WG CDNI, but this relationship does not prevent publishing. The IESG would also like the RFC-Editor to review the comments in the datatracker related to this document and determine whether or not they merit incorporation into the document. Comments may exist in both the ballot and the history log. The IESG review is documented at: http://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/conflict-review-brandenburg-cdni-has/ A URL of the reviewed Internet Draft is: http://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-brandenburg-cdni-has/ The process for such documents is described at http://www.rfc-editor.org/indsubs.html Thank you, The IESG Secretary |

It seems to make some recommendations (as input to the CDNI WG) that might touch on HTTP/2.0 or session continuation (cookies). If told "no," I'll just clear. |

(Do ISE RFCs count as IETF contributions? I have no idea;-) |

The … The draft draft-brandenburg-cdni-has-05 is ready for publication from the Independent Stream. Please ask IESG to review it, as set out in RFC 5742. The following is some background for this draft, please forward it to IESG along with this request ... Its abstract says ... This documents presents thoughts on the potential impact of supporting HTTP Adaptive Streaming technologies in CDN Interconnection (CDNI) scenarios. The intent is to present the authors' analysis of the CDNI-HAS problem space and discuss different options put forward both by the authors (and by others during informal discussions) on how to deal with HAS in the context of CDNI. THis document has been used as input information during the WG process for making its decision regarding support for HAS. It was reviewed for me by Richard Woundy from Comcast; he tells me that it was discussed in the CDNI WG, but "the purpose of the draft is to document these WG-specific discussions relevant to HAS." Thanks, Nevil (ISE) |
