Pseudowire And LDP-enabled Services

The L2TPEXT chairs have requested the following change to the charter to clarify the relationship between PALS and L2TPEXT:

From:

- All types of MPLS-based and L2TPv3-based pseudowire services
including point-to-point and point-to-multipoint pseudowires, single
segment and multi-segment pseudowires, single and multi-domain
pseudowires, and signaled and statically provisioned pseudowires.

To:

- All types of MPLS-based and L2TPv3-based pseudowire services
including point-to-point and point-to-multipoint pseudowires, single
segment and multi-segment pseudowires, single and multi-domain
pseudowires, and signaled and statically provisioned pseudowires.
For L2TPv3-based pseudowires, the working group will coordinate
with L2TPEXT.

I fully expect this to be a quick discussion, so forgive the BLOCK position...

The L2TPEXT mailing list has been deathly silent since mid-April, 2014.  Do we expect L2TPEXT to suddenly jump into action if PALS comes up with needed changes to L2TP?

For the IESG...
The PALS working group should be considered in conjunction with the BESS WG that is also in the process of being chartered.
The two WGs combined serve to replace the three WGs L2VPN, L3VPN, PWE3. They also take a little piece of work that was on the fringes of the charter of NVO3.
There is no overall change to the totality of work covered.
