Donald Eastlake is a Principal Engineer with Huawei Technologies working on advanced network product standards and research. He was previously a consultant to Cisco and before that a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff at Motorola. Donald is Secretary and previously co-Chair of the IETF TRILL Working Group that is specifying the protocol for TRILL Switches (RBridges) and was the author of the TRILL base protocol standard. He is also co-Chair of the BABEL and CALEXT WGs. Donald Chairs the IEEE 802.11ak General Link Task Group that is extending Wi-Fi for use as a transit link. He was the architect of DNS Security. Donald is the author of 82 IETF RFCs making him the 5th most prolific RFC author of all time.
