IV. Licensing Declaration
The Patent Holder states that its position with respect to licensing any patent claims contained in the patent(s) or patent application(s) disclosed above that would necessarily be infringed by implementation of the technology required by the relevant IETF specification ("Necessary Patent Claims"), for the purpose of implementing such specification, is as follows(select one licensing declaration option only):

Global IP Sound Inc. and its subsidiaries ("GIPS") would like to
clarify their position with respect to any patent applications
associated with its submission of the iLBC (internet low bit-rate)
codec technology to the IETF for standards/RFC consideration.
GIPS has sought patent protection regarding technology submitted to
the IETF for use in standards and/or RFCs. This notice is provided
in accordance with RFC 3667 and RFC 3668 (Bradner, February 2004).
If GIPS has any patents or pending applications for GIPS technology
submitted to the IETF and the technology is required to fully
implement and comply with draft-ietf-avt-ilbc-codec and
draft-ietf-avt-rtp-ilbc and to the RFCs arising from these internet
drafts, GIPS provides this written assurance that it intends to provide,
upon written request from a party implementing the IETF technology,
a royalty-free license for any party to implement, use, and distribute
the technology or works when implementing, using, or distributing
technology based upon the specific specifications under openly specified,
reasonable, non-discriminatory terms, solely to the extent such technology is
essential to comply with the specific specifications and to the RFC arising
from these specifications, and provided a reciprocal license is granted to GIPS
and other parties under any patents or pending applications that the license
applicant has to any technology essential to implement that IETF technology.
Note: The individual submitting this template represents and warrants that he or she is authorized by the Patent Holder to agree to the above-selected licensing declaration.
