This is to advise the IETF, in accordance with the IETF RFCs 3979 and 4879 that Nokia Technologies Oy (hereinafter “Nokia Technologies”) believes the Nokia Technologies patent application " Transmission of data with forward error correction information” (US 10/549,105) (the “Disclosed Patent(s)”), may be necessarily infringed by implementing the following IETF contribution ”RFC 6363, Forward Error Correction (FEC) Framework” (the “Contribution”).
“Affiliate” of Nokia Technologies means any legal entity that directly or indirectly controls, is controlled by or is under common control with Nokia Technologies. Control in this context, exists where one entity owns more than fifty percent (50%) of the voting stock or equity in another entity, or regardless of stock or equity ownership, is otherwise able to direct its affairs or to appoint a majority of the members of the board of directors or an equivalent body to determine the course of action of the entity by virtue of its voting or other rights. Such entities shall only be deemed to be Affiliates, hereunder for as long as such control exists.
