If the technology in the draft-“Header Diff: A compact HTTP header representation for HTTP/2.0” document becomes incorporated in an IETF HTTP/2.0 specification ("Specification"), and one or more claims of the patent application, both currently owned by Canon Inc. and acquired in the future, licensable by Canon Inc. are Necessary Patent Claims to implement such technology, Canon Inc. will grant worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, non-discriminatory license under such claim(s) for the purpose of implementing such technology.

This license is offered on the condition that any implementer for implementations of the technology grants a reciprocal license under the same terms as this license to all other implementers for implementations of the technology under those patent claims, both currently owned by the implementer and acquired in the future, licensable by the implementer that would necessarily be infringed by implementaion of the technology required by the Specification.
