Licensing See Text Below for Licensing Declaration
Licensing information, comments, notes, or URL for further information

The following licensing statement overrides any previous statement and applies only to the RFC described below (NSIS). It should be noted this is in the spirit of previous disclosures made by Cisco for various other RFCs with minor modifications since Columbia University, as a non-profit R&D/Education institution, does not have commercial products.

Columbia University is the owner of and one or more pending unpublished patent applications
relating to "NSIS Operation Over IP Tunnels"
(draft-ietf-nsis-tunnel-13).

If technology in this document is included in a standard adopted by IETF and any
claims of any Columbia patents are necessary for practicing the standard, any party
will have the right to use any such patent claims under reasonable,
non-discriminatory terms, with reciprocity, to implement and fully comply with
the standard.

The reasonable non-discriminatory terms are:

If this standard is adopted, Columbia will not assert any patents owned or controlled
by Columbia against any party for making, using, selling, importing or offering for
sale a product that implements the standard, provided, however that Columbia retains
the right to assert its patents (including the right to claim past royalties)
against any party that asserts a patent it owns or controls (either directly or
indirectly) against Columbia or any of Columbia's licensees, affiliates, designees or successors in title or
against any products of any of Columbia's licensees, affiliates or designees either
alone or in combination with other products; and Columbia retains the right to assert
its patents against any product or portion thereof that is not necessary for
compliance with the standard.

Note: The individual submitting this template represents and warrants that he or she is authorized by the Patent Holder to agree to the above-selected licensing declaration.
