ISE write-up for: draft-savage-eigrp-03
Abstract:
"This document describes the protocol design and architecture for
Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP). EIGRP is a
routing protocol based on Distance Vector technology. The specific
algorithm used is called DUAL, a Diffusing Update Algorithm
[4]. The algorithm and procedures were researched, developed, and
simulated by SRI International."
The draft is a detailed and complete description of the EIGRP protocol;
I feel that having such a description published will allow for more-informed
comparisons of EIGRP with other routing protocols.
This draft was reviewed for me by Peter Palúch and Alvaro Retana;
its principal author has made comprehensive changes to successive
versions of the draft in response to their feedback.
This draft has no IANA Considerations at present, but IANA have reviewed
it, and will make it the reference document for EIGRP in their Registries.
